About Us

Our Soul.

Who we are is about what we do. And we are passionate about our participants.

Who we are

Soul II Soul Youth Services is a dedicated organisation committed to supporting vulnerable youth and their families in North Queensland. Established with the vision to prevent crisis and strengthen communities, we focus on after-hours support when it’s needed most.

Our Approach

At Soul II Soul, we use an  approach that is...

our values

Driven by our core values.

Cultural Respect:
Honouring Indigenous knowledge and practices.

More than just cultural understanding, it's application too.

Trauma-Informed Care:
Responding to the effects of trauma with care.

Trauma cases are each unique and never treated as generalised.

Person-Centered Approach:
Tailoring services to individual needs.

One-by-one care as individualised plans are developed/implemented.

Collaboration:
Partnering with families and communities for shared goals.

Together we are stronger as we work with close partners.

our ethos

Courage wrapped in compassion.

It is not just a sentiment—it’s a guiding principle. It’s how we TRIAGE, MENTOR, and STAND by vulnerable youth. We apply it through:

Early Intervention

Early intervention work that steps into crisis, not away from it.

Reconnection

Cultural and family reconnection that demands patience and emotional labour.

Mentoring

Mentoring triage-based approach that chooses heart work over hardline judgement.

This principle guides our work—from crisis intervention to cultural reconnection, from mentoring to healing. It’s how we lead, serve, and transform lives.

Our Strengths

What we do best.

Two-Client Philosophy: We believe there are always two clients—the young person and their family system.

Prevention as Mindset: We proactively intervene before crises occur, believing early engagement prevents lifelong disadvantage.

Cultural Safety: Led and delivered in partnership with Indigenous staff, Elders, and community organisations.

Therapeutic Depth: We employ an in-house team of psychologists, mental health therapists, family practitioners, and behaviour specialists for immediate trauma-informed support.
